“Taking Care” Live Storytelling

BLR is excited to announce a collaboration with our friends The Nocturnists for a live storytelling performance on the theme of “Taking Care.”  The performance will take place  Symphony Space in Manhattan on the evening of Saturday, November 4, 2023. (Ticket info coming soon….)

Pitch your story idea by May 31!

Have you had an experience with caregiving? Are you a patient? Family member? Medical Professional? We’re interested in true-life stories about the experience of “taking care.”

This differs from BLR’s usual take on stories:

• • these are true-life stories, not fiction

  • these will be spoken stories, not written

  • you’ll need only a pitch, not a fully-fleshed story

  • your submission will be a short audio file

  • if selected, you will work with a professional storytelling coach to prepare the story for the stage
